I am a Völva. Völva is Old Norse for “staff carrier,” the traveling spiritual guide learned in the ways of my European/Scandinavian Folk Soul. Like Thorbjorg from Eric the Red’s Saga, I am invited into communities to lead ceremony, share information, impart wisdom, and perpetuate the folk ways through song, story, and dance. I heal oorlag at it's source and read wyrd for individuals and groups.

Alt for Norge!

Hurrah! the show is a big hit!
We all worked so hard, the crew did an amazing job. I am so proud of Monster for the beautiful filming and editing. It must have been so difficult to choose from all that footage and narrow it down to 45 min episodes.

It's wonderful to receive so many kind emails from Norwegian fans. I have put up a fan page to share more of my photos and experiences on the show - FanPage

I am also very proud of the article written by Kristin Tillotson in Thursday April 8th Star Tribune. Her writing is beautiful and describes me, my work and mission so well.

I heard about this show from L-Jay's blog "My Little Norway". I wish we could view the episodes in the US. I tried to click on the links for the Norwegian website but couldn't access it.

I am an American Norwegian too. Both sets of my grandparents are from Norway. I've been to visit once and would love to return.

How did you get on the show? Is there an audition?

Hi Debbie,
I answered an add that my sister found in the Newspaper. They wanted Americans with Norwegian ancestry who had never been to Norway and were interested in their roots.

I did a written application and sent in a 5 min. video introducing myself. They asked me to come to Chicago for an interview then phoned me from Norway to say that I was one of 10 Americans chosen for the show.

It was an amazing time.
